I wish I had anything to add… but I don’t, because you summed it up perfectly.

I am always surprised by how few people ever comment on his character’s disgraceful behaviour. (And we’re talking the IMDB crowd, people like that – not others who might actually have a life of their own, so they simply don’t pay attention to fictional characters. )

In my view, Nina Foch’s character actually makes Lise look worse… Then again, Lise has the appearance of Leslie Caron, and sounds very much like her too – and I was never a huge Caron fan.

Oh, and my answer to the last question (even though I feel it is forced or redundant, seeing that they were totally different in their approach): Gene Kelly.
I like his dancing for his exhilaratingly athletic and dynamic dance.

It’s just Jerry Mulligan that I dislike…

P.S. How come nobody ever mentions that Jerr’y paintings were embarrassingly trite and old-fashioned for the time of the action? (I am actually considering writing an article about it… Hope I won’t have to – if I find an existing article about it.)

this is quite helpful but i wanted something that would specificly help me in my review like in my intoduction or paragraph 1 write this or talk about this paragraph 2 and so on .. thanks anywayz there are a few areas which are really useful ..

In the game that I was writing this for, I found that I typically wrote reviews around 1000 words. I would guess (not knowing for sure) that a review for publication would run twice that for a major featured review and perhaps 250 – 500 for more “one of many” reviews. I’m sure it would depend on the editor and how much copy that person needed.

How long do you normally make movie reviews? I read that they are normally 6-700 words. Is this accurate?
